About me

I am Deirdre O’Neill, an online, indoor and outdoor counsellor and psychotherapist. I offer compassionate and confidential face to face, online and outdoor counselling to individuals. I often work with clients who may be experiencing anxiety or panic attacks.  I focus on helping people to figure out why their life and relationships are not working as they would like them to, helping clients to change what is not working and accept what they cannot change.

During my study and research into how therapy works I noticed that, my best and clearest thinking happened outdoors, staring at the horizon or listening for the whisper of wind in the trees. That inspired me to offer outdoor counselling alongside the more traditional indoor and online counselling.

I undertook further study on therapy in nature as part of my Bachelor of Science Hons. Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Middlesex University. I hold a Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and I am an accredited member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I am an Integrative Therapist which simply means that I use a combination of different theories and methods including Humanistic, Existential therapy, Choice Theory and Cognitive Behavoiral Therapy. I am a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy.
